Hidden away for years, no one missed Maggie. She just didn't show up for work one day and no one questioned where she was. It's hard to believe , Maggie could be deceived for years. She was, though, until her sister tried to find her. Her sister could find no trace of Maggie. Meredith, Maggie's sister, met Harvey in the coffee shop she had glimpsed Maggie hriugh the window. Meredith became suspicious of Harvey and tricked him into leading her to Maggie. I didn't particularly like this book. It seemed too far fetched or maybe the content didn't actually explain how the ending came to fruition.

The Wilkinson's son is missing, 15 year old Billy. He left the house angry after a fight with his brother and never came home. Is he dead or playing a cruel joke on his family? It's been six months and no sign of or word from Billy. Everyone feels guilty. His mother, Claire for spending the night with her parents. Father, Mark, feels bad for arguing with Billy and brother Jake for punching Billy. Maybe there is someone in the house who is guilty after all. You must read the book to find out. I never suspected the murderer. Could it be mother, father or brother? Or maybe it is someone else, uncle Stephen, who Billy was close to or his brother, Jake's, girlfriend.

THE NAMES OF DEAD GIRLS by Eric Rickstd is a good book. It is a series with Frank Rath, former police officer. I had not read any of his other books and it is not necessary. This book is completely understandable without background info. Although retired, Rath is called in to investigate a missing person. The reason he is called is because Rath investigated a case years ago involving this victim. And then, he finds out the murderer of his sister and brother in law has been released from jail. Must read the book to find out how these are connected. But in the midst of this problem there are more murders and how are those connected? Wow, what a twist you'll find in this story. I did get a bit confused and feel the other murders could have been a whole book on its own.

DO NOT BECOME ALARMED by Maile Melody is a bit frightening. Now, I've never been on a cruise and not sure I want to go on one. Two couples decide to take a cruise with their children. They don't get off the ship at most stops but the one time another couple they meet on the cruise talk them into going zip lining. They never make it to zip line and go swimming instead but the tide changes and takes the kids downstream while no one is watching. And then.... read the book it's great.

Loved this book. I loved her first book and this one is just as good. I enjoy the psychological aspects that Ms. Walker puts in her books. Two sisters are three years apart and as close as any teen-age sisters can be. Emma was older and had to take Cass places with her, but Emma, like any older teen, didn't want Cass hanging around her. Then, one day, they are both gone. They just disappeared without a trace. How can that happen? And three years later, Cass reappears, alone. The detective and FBI behavioral psychologist, who were involved in the case in the beginning are called in again. But, can the psychologist, Abby, handle the stress, again? She will not give this case up. She needs closure. Abby was convinced, in the beginning, that the mother was some how involved and maybe even the cause. The FBI would not listen to her theories. The detective, Leo, would not let her push for fear of her being destroyed. But in the end she is right. Great book. I love psychological mysteries.

Mary kubica has written many suspenseful books. This is not one of her more suspenseful books. The book was good but if you're looking for a book like her others this isnt one. It is a mystery to Nick's wife, Clara, but according to the evidence gathered by the police it was an unfortunate accident. What makes Clara suspect something else because her young daughter is having nightmares of a mean man. Yes the neighbor is a mean man who has threatened her father but is that reason to suspect him of murder? I just didn't think this was capable of holding my undivided attention as her other books have. I will read any others she comes out with because I enjoy her writing but this was not one of my favorites.

Her father, Richard St. Ives, has taught her everything she knows. She can open a locked safe in seconds, she can steal museum pieces without getting caught and she can kill without guilt. How does someone disappear? Don't take anything with you. That is what Emmy did, until she got too close to Leah. Leah is a defrocked journalist and Emmy is running, also, but from what? Emmy says it is an abusive fiancé, a bad family life anything she can think of to say. Until Emmy disappears, Leah thought Emmy was her best friend. And then...... things begin to get strange. There is no record of Emmy. The police begin to distrust Leah and they believe she may be a double murderer. I enjoyed the thriller but have one question how did Leah convince the police she wasn't a murderer? And Kyle believe who she really was. I felt Megan left a bit of the story out or wasn't clear about it. Otherwise a great psychological thriller.
